About Lily

I am currently a student at ECA specialising in painting.

Time, the everyday and reoccurring motifs punctuate my work. Stemming from an interest in daily moments, my paintings describe details of days through overlapping, often strange or exaggerated imagery. Paintings are developed through the collection of moments, formed through writing, photographing, and sketching the places around me.  My works document my own experience of the world as a person living in a city, surrounded by people and things. Places and people are purposely left anonymous of not fully fleshed out, giving opportunity for others to connect and place themselves within these scenes.

 My paintings reclaim the obsolete slowness of daydreaming, through watching and noticing places and remembering details.
